The SilverWood Team
Helen Hart has been a published author since 1999. She has written a number of novels under pseudonyms for Scholastic, Virgin Books, OUP and HarperCollins, provided freelance editorial for Emap Magazines, and copywriting for a range of commercial clients. One of her Young Adult novels, written as Maya Snow, was shortlisted for the Solihull Children's Book Award 2010 (the winner was Frank Cottrell Boyce's Cosmic). Maya Snow was represented at the ceremony by Karen Ball, an editor at Working Partners.
Helen is an Associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and has attended the Society's certified courses in basic proofreading and copy-editing. She is currently involved with the Bristol Short Story Prize, an exciting international competition sponsored by Waterstones, and is on the judging panel for the 2010 competition.
Helen is responsible for customer service, administration and project management.
Our design partners Redwing Design are responsible for all areas of design, from book jackets to author promotional materials while their sister company, e-commerce specialists Redwing Interactive, build and maintain the SilverWood website and online bookshop.

Ali Reynolds Literary Consultancy
Ali Reynolds Literary Consultancy was established in 2005. As a former editor in a London literary publishing house Ali is experienced in supporting writers at all stages of the creative process. Her focus is on finding the balance between the integrity of each writer's work and ensuring that it is as successful as it can be, whether in terms of creative perfection or marketability for the publishing industry.
Ali offers a personal service, tailoring her assessment to the needs of the writer through both written reports and face-to-face meetings. She will concentrate on whichever issues are relevant to an individual writer's work, from characterisation, narrative voice, use of imagery, structure and plotting through to the credibility of story arcs and a realistic analysis of strengths and flaws.

Susie Champion-Homfray of Mooti PR has wide experience and expertise in the field of press and public relations, marketing assistance, and communications. This makes her ideally placed to assist authors with all aspects of book promotion and PR. She has recently placed stories for our authors with a range of newspapers, journals, magazines and websites, including the Bristol Evening Post, RAF News, This England magazine, Soldier magazine, and also broadcast media including BBC Radio Bristol and BBC SouthEast Television.
Susie offers press liaison and public relations, raising awareness of individual authors and their work.
Louise Green (MA) has degrees in both English and American Literature. She has more than fifteen years teaching experience, leading creative writing courses in a number of educational establishments. Louise has written feature articles for the national press, radio drama, and short stories which have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
Louise offers editorial support and manuscript critiques.
