Submission Guidelines
For editorial tutorials or manuscript critiques, please supply your text:
- printed on A4 paper.
- double-spaced, in 12pt type, left-aligned, with the first line of each paragraph indented, and all pages numbered.
- with a large self-addressed envelope (with adequate return postage attached).
- with a back-up single Word document as an email attachment or on CD-Rom.
For publishing, please supply your copy-edited and proofread text:
- as a single Microsoft Word document.
- double-spaced.
- in 12pt type.
- left-aligned with the first line of each paragraph indented.
- include a title page and author name, dedication, acknowledgements and/or table of contents where appropriate.
- labelled with your surname, date (dd/mm/yy), the title of your work and the word 'text', eg jones210508-booktitle-text.doc.
- as an email attachment or on CD-Rom, with an additional printed hard copy for reference.
Please ensure that any content you supply is your own original work.
Please supply your images:
- separately and not embedded within the text document.
- as JPGs in the dimensions of your chosen book jacket.
- scanned at a minimum of 300dpi (1200dpi preferred).
- labelled with your surname, the title of your text document and the word 'image', eg jones-booktitle-image.jpg (if you are supplying more than one image please number them in the order in which they will appear in the book, eg jones-booktitle-image1.jpg).
- as email attachments or on CD-Rom.
- if you prefer, we can scan your original images from photos or negatives for a small additional charge per image.
Please ensure you own the copyright for any images you supply,
or that you have written documentation of permission to use copyrighted material.
The Small Print:
Please take careful note of our submission guidelines. If we receive your files in other formats, we may not be able to open them and begin work on your manuscript. You will be asked to re-submit, or to pay for the additional costs of correcting or re-formatting files.
